My name is Barrington Bishop. While I’ve only been a personal trainer since 2017, I’ve been exercising and studying anatomy for 10 years. Since becoming a trainer, I’ve had the privilege of coaching senior citizens, teenagers, pre-teens, and adults both male and female. I’ve had clients who reside in Hobe Sound, Stuart, and Port St. Lucie. Before coming to Mission Fitness, I trained people at my home, their homes, and a private gym in Port St. Lucie.
I became a martial artist at the young age of 8 years old when I began training in tae kwon do. Today, I compete as an amateur MMA fighter, and coach as well. 2018 is my 3rd year fighting. I’ve competed in 6 MMA bouts, 2 kickboxing matches, and 3 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu matches. I’ve found martial arts training to be one of the best ways to improve and maintain fitness levels. As a trainer, I specialize in fat loss and strength and conditioning.
I enjoy creating fun and interesting workouts. I’ve taken everything that I’ve learned through certification courses, mentorships, and my own research to conduct personalized training systems for each of my clients. While I also have experience coaching group training, I especially enjoy one-on-one sessions where I can give one client the utmost attention at a time. Nutrition plans are also something that I take a lot of time organizing. I believe that when the proper nutrition plan is paired with a scientific exercise program, any fitness goal can be reached!
